HOLY WEEK SERVICES

Holy Week is the most solemn week of the Liturgical Year.
It is a week of reflection and prayer.
All are invited to join us for this year’s Holy Week Services:

 TENEBRAE ~ Monday, 3/30/2015, 7:00pm

Tenebrae is the Latin word meaning “darkness.” The Tenebrae Service will consist of psalms, and music, each growing darker as the light itself grows more and more dim. All three, the light, psalms and music, are intended to lead us in contemplating the mystery of the temporary triumph of darkness over light in the death of Christ that first Good Friday.

MASS OF THE LORD’S SUPPER ~ Thursday, 4/2/2015, 7:00pm

At this very special Mass the Last Supper is portrayed through the washing of the feet and the receiving of the Eucharist. The altar is stripped of its linens and the Blessed Sacrament is exposed. After the Mass we process to the Gathering Hall where the Blessed Sacrament is placed on an altar for an all-night vigil and Adoration.

STATIONS OF THE CROSS ~  Friday, 4/3/2015, 3:00pm

Good Friday is the most somber day of the liturgical year.  It marks the anniversary of the death of Jesus Christ.  And so, we gather at 3:00pm, the exact moment of Christ's death, to pray the Stations of the Cross.  By reciting the fourteen Stations of the Cross, we re-live the final hours of Jesus from His betrayal to His crucifixion and death on the cross.

CELEBRATION OF THE LORD'S PASSION (Veneration of the Cross)
Friday, 4/3/2015, 7:00pm

The Celebration of the Lord's Passion (also referred ot as "Veneration of the Cross") takes place on Good Friday. At this service we adore or venerate the cross through prayer, song and Scripture readings. Veneration of the cross does not mean that we are actually adoring the material image, but rather what it represents. In kneeling before the crucifix in reverence we are paying the highest of honor to our Lord’s cross as the instrument of our salvation.  Holy Communion (Bread only) is distributed at this service.

EASTER MASS SCHEDULE

Easter is Sunday, April 5, 2015

Our Mass Schedule is as follows:

Easter Vigil, Saturday, April 4th ~ 8:00 PM
Easter Morning, Sunday, April 5th ~ 7:30, 9:00 & 11:00 AM

EASTER BLESSINGS!

Best wishes for a blessed Easter ...

Exposition of Sacred Relics

THANK YOU

It is with great amazement and awe that we reflect on the outpouring of the Holy Spirit which took place on Sun., March 8th at Immaculate Conception Church.  Fr. Carlos Martins of the Companions of the Cross, offered a presentation in the church to over 900 people. He taught a solid catechesis on the four handcuffs which hinder us from receiving God’s Healing Grace….a grace God desires to pour out on His people.

Not attending Mass on a regular basis
Not going to Confession on a regular basis
Receiving the Eucharist while in the state of sin
Unforgiveness

He also taught about the authenticity of Sacred Relics as points of contact for healing and referenced the Scriptural passages where Sacred Relics were instrumental to Biblical healings.

Veneration of the 167 original relics which Fr. Carlos brought for the Exposition followed in the parish hall.  Over 1000 people came from many places throughout New England to pray and venerate the precious relics of such saints as St. Maria Goretti, St. Therese of Lisieux, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony, St. Thomas Aquinas, and many others including one of the largest pieces in the world of the true Cross of Jesus.

Let us keep Fr. Carlos Martins of the Companions of the Cross and his ministry, “Treasures of the Church” in our prayers.

Volunteer & Prayer Opportunities

There are many ways in which you can become more involved in the life of the Parish.  Why not explore one of the many volunteer or prayer ministries that we offer.  Click here for a complete Ministries Directory.

Volunteer Ministries
Volunteers are the heart and soul of our parish. The success and very existence of so many of our
programs are the direct result of the time and talent donated by our parishioners. As a parish with over
3,000 families, we are always in need of more volunteers. Whether you are single or married, working or retired, a stay-at-home parent, or anything in between, there is some way that you can help.
Please take some time to pray and discern to find the perfect opportunity for you.

Prayer Ministries
Prayer deepens our faith and draws us closer to God.  We strive each and everyday for holiness in a
world filled with challenges, may we respond generously to God's invitation to goodness and a personal relationship with Him by our practice of devotion and love for Jesus and Mary.

ICC welcomes your consideration and your willingness to serve.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

If you would like to become more involved in our parish community, consider volunteering for one of the follwing opportunities ...

RELIGIOUS EDUCATIONWe are always looking for teen and adult volunteers to assist with our various Religious Education programs throughout the year.  If you are interested in working with our children in any capacity, please contact the Religious Ed Office at 603-888-0608 or via email.

HIGH SCHOOL CONFIRMATION PROGRAMWe are in need of individuals to help coordinate and assist with our Sunday evening Educational Nights.  You can help as a member of our Educational core, Mission Service core or by becoming a "behind the scenes" member of our Prayer Team.  For more infomation, please contact Carmen, our Catechetical leader and Youth Minister at 603-888-0608 x228 or via email.

ARTS & ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE:  As a member of this committee, you would assist with the set-up and take-down of the Church environment for all special events throughout the year. This includes the liturgical seasons of Advent/Christmas, Lent and Easter, as well as other special events like First Communion, Confirmation and All Souls. For more information or to volunteer please contact the Parish Office at 603-888-0321 or via email.

BEREAVEMENT MINISTRY:  We're looking for people who are willing to be part of a Bereavement Reception Ministry. The Bereavement Reception Ministry will be organizing receptions in the Gathering Hall following funerals at ICC, as a service to grieving families.  You don't necessarily have to be available at a moments notice to serve at a funeral -- Your role may be donating and preparing food from home and dropping it off at the gathering hall at ICC.  We are hoping to gather enough volunteers together that we will have roles covered and only need to call on people a few times a year.  If you are interested in more information please email the bereavement committe.

MASS MINISTRIES:  We are always in need of additional volunteers to assist at our weekend Masses as Eucharistic Ministers, Lectors and Altar Servers.  If you are interested in pursing any one of these opportunities, more information is provided in the Worship section of our website (click here to navigate to that page) or by contacting the Parish Office via email or at 603-888-0321.

MARRIAGE PREPARATION COUPLES:  Immaculate Conception Parish is looking for committed couples, who have been married for at least 3 years, to assist in the marriage preparation process. This volunteer opportunity would involve meeting with engaged couples to review their individual FOCCUS results.  FOCCUS (Facilitating Open Couple Communication and Study) is an internationally used tool designed to provide engaged couples and those working with them, a personalized profile of what to “focus” on in their marriage preparation process. It is both a starting place for couple discussion and a map of what issues need time and attention, or problem solving.  All couples involved in this ministry are required to attend a one time training session. If you would like to explore this opportunity or would just like more information, please contact the Parish Office at 603-888-0321 or via email.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

Immaculate Conception Parish offers Eucharistic Adoration with Exposition every Wednesday from 9am to 8:45pm.  All are invited to come & pray before the Blessed Sacrament.  Adoration provides a wonderful, grace-filled retreat from the hectic routines of daily life. Come pray, meditate, or simply sit in the presence of our Lord for as long as you’d like.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:  Are you interested in making a weekly, one hour commitment to help staff Wednesday Adorations? Or perhaps you could help as a substitute.  We are always in need of additional volunteers.  If you can help, please contact the Adoration team through our contact form.
